The Great British glove. Classic short glove in a sueded pure cotton. Delightful to wear all year round. Understated enough to be your everyday glove and definitely smart enough for occasions. This glove has 3 points on the back of the hand and a welted top and palm vent. Georgina is the glove that put the Great into Great Britain.
Wrist Length. 2 inch glove. This is measured from where the thumb seam meets the wrist, to the opening of the glove.
Our Sueded, Supima Cotton is grown in the San Joaquin Valley of California, knitted into cotton jersey in Derbyshire, England, then expertly brushed to provide that lovely, sueded feeling. As well as being the absolute classic day glove material, the cotton is rated UPF50+ for ultraviolet protection.
If you'd like to see a swatch of this material in this colour before you decide, you can order one here.
There’s an ease to sueded cotton — soft from the first touch, never flashy, always comfortable. It doesn’t need to be babied, just respected. With the right rhythm of care, this glove keeps its shape and surface for years.
Sueded cotton thrives on quiet consistency. No stress, no shortcuts — just warmth and calm.
Hand washing works best. Let the gloves rest in warm water with a mild soap, and move them gently. Don’t twist or scrub. Once clean, press between towels and reshape them while still damp. Dry flat and let gravity do the rest.
Wash by hand in warm water with pure soap flakes. Rinse well. Press in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry and reshape while damp. Avoid heat and machines.
If the cotton begins to stiffen or lose its brushed feel, a professional with experience in natural textiles can restore the softness without overhandling the surface.

I ordered these gloves because I am immunocomprised (I had a double lung transplant), so that makes me more susceptible to skin cancers. My dermatologist suggested I get gloves for driving. I have a pair of merino gloves from CJ, but they're a bit warm for summer in Ohio, so I picked up these in ascot grey. They arrived today and they are perfect! They are a nice weight for driving in the summer and the fact that they have UPF and virus protection built into the fabric makes them even better. They look so chic and ladylike, I know they'll be perfect to wear even when I'm not driving!

The gloves arrived promptly and in perfect condition. The Georgina gloves fit a bit more tightly than the Hera gloves, at the same sizing. It is possible they will stretch with time.
