Our Cornelia glove is short, sweet, stylish and finished with a button cuff link that celebrates the 80 years that we've been in business. Why 80 years? Because you can't rush a good thing. The glove is made in pure Merino wool. Merino wool is a dream to wear because it is soft, warm, durable and extremely stylish.
Wrist Length. This is 1.5 inch glove. This is measured from where the thumb seam meets the wrist, to the opening of the glove.
Our pure wool gloves are cut from a super fine jersey Merino wool. We make them in exactly the same way that we make all our gloves - 2 metres of painstaking stitching that joins tranks, fourchettes and thumbs. The end product is a pair of gloves that is beautifully styled, built to last and warm. The perfect Autumn/Winter glove.
Merino is the quiet overachiever of natural fibres — warm when it’s cold, cool when it’s warm, and elegant all year round. What makes it special is not just how it performs, but how little it needs in return.
Merino likes simplicity. Wash it gently, dry it slowly, and give it room to remember its shape.
Let It Breathe
Wash by hand, always in lukewarm water, and keep movement minimal. Press in a towel and lay flat to dry. While damp, ease the gloves back into their form. The fibre knows what to do — it just needs your help getting there.
Care Method
Hand wash with pure soap flakes. Rinse, press gently, and dry flat. Avoid friction, hanging, or heat.
To Restore Balance and Elasticity
If your gloves feel tight, flat or lose stretch, a wool care expert can revive their natural resilience without disturbing the knit.

As always, I adore my Cornelia James gloves. The quality and attention to detail is 100% beyond compare, but I was disappointed (hence the 4 stars of 5) to not receive a fabric bag inside the elegant presentation box in order to store my latest glove purchase. My previous glove purchases (silk and leather) included the fabric storage bag, and I assumed the merino glove would as well.

Lovely!
These merino wool gloves came beautifully packaged and the size 7 fit like a glove! I had originally considered getting the gloves monogrammed but changed my mind while still in the cart. Despite this, the company reached out to me personally to re-confirm my choice and then sent me the pair monogrammed at no charge anyway. Such great customer service! Was amazed at how quickly they arrived from England - ordered on a Thursday evening and had them in hand by the following Tuesday afternoon in British Columbia, Canada.
