A mark or a bit of weather isn’t a tragedy — it’s part of the story. But when they need your help, leather gloves respond best to time and restraint. No rubbing, no shortcuts, and certainly no heat.
Forget conditioners and quick fixes. To lift a mark, dust on a touch of talcum powder, smooth it with a dry cloth, and leave it be for a couple of days. If your gloves get wet, blot gently, reshape them softly, and let them dry at their own pace — away from the radiator, the sun, or any artificial heat.
Apply talcum powder over marks with a dry cloth. Leave for 48 hours, then dust off gently. If wet, blot carefully, reshape, and air dry naturally. Never fold or store while damp.
If your gloves become stiff, lose their shape or develop persistent stains, a leather care specialist can restore their structure and surface without compromising their character.
