Francesca | Longer Line Sueded Cotton Day Glove – Black
A pure cotton glove with 3 points. This brushed cotton material is both structured and soft. This longer length makes a real statement - wear gloves like you mean it - and is perfect for giving an elegant and formal look to short sleeve dresses. But the sueded cotton makes a 'three season' glove so that these are ideal for wearing with a jacket or coat in autumn. The glove is cut close enough to fit inside a coat sleeeve.
Forearm Length. This is a 8 inch glove. This is measured from where the thumb seam meets the wrist, to the opening of the glove.
Our Sueded, Supima Cotton is grown in the San Joaquin Valley of California, knitted into cotton jersey in Derbyshire, England, then expertly brushed to provide that lovely, sueded feeling. As well as being the absolute classic day glove material, the cotton is rated UPF50+ for ultraviolet protection.

There’s an ease to sueded cotton — soft from the first touch, never flashy, always comfortable. It doesn’t need to be babied, just respected. With the right rhythm of care, this glove keeps its shape and surface for years.
Sueded cotton thrives on quiet consistency. No stress, no shortcuts — just warmth and calm.
Let It Soak
Hand washing works best. Let the gloves rest in warm water with a mild soap, and move them gently. Don’t twist or scrub. Once clean, press between towels and reshape them while still damp. Dry flat and let gravity do the rest.
Care Method
Wash by hand in warm water with pure soap flakes. Rinse well. Press in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry and reshape while damp. Avoid heat and machines.
When Softness Begins to Fade
If the cotton begins to stiffen or lose its brushed feel, a professional with experience in natural textiles can restore the softness without overhandling the surface.

Gloves to love
These are lovely gloves. I knew when I put them on they were special and they made me feel rather special too. They covered some nasty wounds caused by a fight with a tough hedge of brambles. When the scars have disappeared, the gloves will continue to give me pleasure every time I wear them. They are soft, malleable and very elegant.
